Do you ever stand at your pantry door finding for something that you know is there, but you just can't find it? A pantry can absolutely get disorganized. It's a part of the house that every house member may plunder any times a day. Here are a few home club tips for pantries that may help you find what you are finding for in there.

Pantries can sometimes become a catch all for household things that don't have a "home" anywhere else. These may contain coolers, lunch pails, batteries, paper goods, extension cords and other things. Here are a few steps to consequent to get your pantry organized.

*First take all out.

*Check all expiration dates on products and throw out whatever that is expired.

*Use clear plastic containers to store loose items. Combining packages of grits, instant oatmeal, snack packs and the like in a plastic package is more space salvage than having any boxes with only 3 or 4 in them. Using clear containers makes it much easier to search what you are trying to find.

*Use plastic containers to store like items such as sugars, flour, and cornstarch. Using plastic containers to store opened, boxed or bagged items is a great way to withhold freshness and keep insects and rodents at bay.

*Restock food items first. Keep them in like categories. Put boxes on higher shelves and cans and jars on lower shelves.

*After you have stocked all the food, you can now determine what else you have space for. Place napkins, paper plates and any plastic utensils together.

*Use the very top shelf for things you may not use that often like small coolers or large packs of paper towels.

*For all the other items that don't belong, don't cram them back in there. Find them a more accepted place.

*Keep the pantry floor as empty as possible. This will help the pantry stay neat and more accessible.
